● Installation performed by a licensed Victorian Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) electrician.
● Dedicated electrical circuit for EV charging.
● Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent (RCBO) protection.
● Cable run up to 15 metres (unless otherwise specified in the quotation).
● Surface-mounted conduit where deemed necessary for protection and compliance.
● Charger mounting in the client-nominated and agreed location.
● Comprehensive testing and commissioning of the system.
● Issue of a Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES).
2. Exclusions
Unless explicitly and clearly stated otherwise in the approved quotation, the following items and services are expressly excluded from the scope of works and quoted price:
● Existing switchboard upgrades or modifications.
● Three-phase electrical infrastructure upgrades.
● Cable runs exceeding the standard 15-metre allowance.
● Civil works, trenching, or excavation.
● Complex or concealed cable routing (e.g., within walls, ceilings, or floors).
● Network/WiFi configuration or setup of the charger unit.
● Rectification of pre-existing electrical faults or non-compliant installations on site.
Any additional works required beyond the initial scope will be quoted separately and must be approved in writing by the client prior to commencement.
3. Installation Assumptions
All quotations are contingent upon and based on the following foundational assumptions:
● Existing electrical infrastructure is compliant with current standards and suitable for the addition of EV charging loads.
● Adequate capacity (available poles/ways and current capacity) is present within the main switchboard or sub board to accommodate the new circuit.
● Cable routes are accessible, and the required length does not exceed the allowance stated in the quotation.
● Safe, clear, and unobstructed access is available to the site, switchboard, and nominated installation area on the scheduled date.
Should site conditions differ from these assumptions, additional costs may apply.
Any variances will be discussed with the client and approved prior to proceeding.
4. Variations
Any variation or alteration to the agreed scope of works, including additions or deletions, must be formally approved by the client before any variation work is executed.
Additional charges may apply for, but are not limited to:
● Extended or unforeseen cable runs.
● Installation of additional protection devices.
● Required switchboard upgrades or modifications.
● Access complications or delays caused by site conditions.
● Unforeseen site conditions that impact the installation process.
5. Payment Terms
● A 50% deposit is mandatory to secure the installation booking and facilitate the ordering and allocation of materials.
● The remaining balance is strictly due upon the satisfactory completion of all installation works.
● Final payment is required following testing and prior to or upon the issue of the Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES).
6. Scheduling
● Installation dates are formally scheduled only upon the receipt of the required deposit.
● The typical scheduling timeframe is 5-10 business days from deposit, subject to current availability and material lead times.
● Aether Installations will exert reasonable efforts to meet agreed-upon installation timelines but is not liable for delays outside of its reasonable control.
7. Access & Site Conditions
The client is responsible for ensuring the following prior to the scheduled installation date:
● Safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the switchboard and the designated installation area.
● The removal of any obstructions that may prevent or impede the installation works.
● Availability of an authorised client representative on the scheduled installation date, if required.
If the installation cannot proceed due to site access issues, inaccurate information provided, or obstructions, a rescheduling or call-out fee may apply.
8. Cancellation Policy
● Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled installation time may incur a cancellation fee ranging from $350 to $650, depending on the scope of works, resources allocated, and materials ordered/allocated.
● Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered specifically for or allocated to the client's project.
● If installation is postponed or aborted on the day due to incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible site conditions (as per Clause 7), a call-out or rescheduling fee will apply.
● Any supplier restocking fees or material costs irrevocably incurred due to client cancellation will be passed on to and payable by the client.
9. Compliance & Certification
All electrical works are meticulously completed in strict accordance with the following Australian standards and regulations:
● AS/NZS 3000:2018 (The Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules).
● Current Victorian Electrical Safety Regulations.
A Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) will be digitally or physically issued upon completion and final payment.
10. Warranty
● Workmanship is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.
● Supplied Equipment is covered solely by the respective manufacturer's warranty, details of which can be provided upon request.
● This warranty does not extend to cover misuse, external physical damage, power surges/spikes, or unauthorised modifications made by third parties to the installed system.
11. Liability
Aether Installations shall not be held liable for:
● The rectification of pre-existing electrical faults or non-compliance issues on the property.
● Limitations in the building's overall electrical capacity or network infrastructure.
● Damage or faults arising from third-party modifications or additions to the installed systems.
● Delays in project completion caused by factors outside of Aether Installations' reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, supplier delays, power outages).
12. Quote Validity
All formal quotations issued by Aether Installations are valid for a period of 14 days from the date of issue unless a different validity period is expressly stated on the quote document.
13. Acceptance
The formal acceptance of the quotation, whether via email, written confirmation, or payment of the deposit, constitutes the client's full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
