Werribee EV Charger Installation | Zappi Charger / Extended Cable Run
Completed in Werribee, this residential EV charger installation included supply and installation of a black tethered Zappi charger with a dedicated circuit from the main switchboard, RCBO protection, extended cable run of approximately 26-28 meters, testing, commissioning and compliance certification.
Project Overview
This residential EV charger installation was completed in Werribee for a client who needed a garage charging setup with a longer cable route from the main switchboard.
For this project, we supplied and installed a black tethered Zappi EV charger, with the installation planned around an extended cable run of approximately 26–28 metres and double-storey access requirements. The goal was to deliver a clean, reliable home charging setup while keeping the final installation neat and properly finished.
Project Snapshot
Location: Werribee, VIC
Property type: Residential
Charger installed: Zappi EV Charger (black, tethered)
Installation location: Garage
Cable run: Approx. 26–28 metres
Key site factor: Extended cable routing with double-storey access requirements
Protection: Dedicated circuit and RCBO protection

What the Client Needed
The client wanted a complete home EV charging solution installed in the garage, but the job was more involved than a simple short-run installation.
Because the charger location required a longer route from the main switchboard, the installation needed to be planned properly from the start. The scope included extended cable routing, safe protection, clean mounting, and final commissioning so the client had a setup that was practical, compliant and ready for regular use.
What We Installed
This project included:
Supply and installation of Zappi EV charger (black, tethered)
Installation of a dedicated circuit from the main switchboard
RCBO protection
Extended cable run of approximately 26-28 metres
Cable routing via roof space / structure as required
Charger mounting in the garage
Termination and connection of cabling
Testing and commissioning
Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES).
Why This Setup Worked Well
This wasn’t just a basic charger mounted close to the switchboard. The longer cable route and double-storey access requirements meant the installation had to be scoped properly and executed cleanly.
That’s where a lot of cheaper operators start guessing. This kind of job needs proper routing, protection, clean finishing, and testing at the end, not just getting the charger on the wall. The result here was a finished installation that handled the extra run length without looking messy or improvised.
The Outcome
The finished result was a clean residential EV charger installation that dealt properly with the longer cable route and site access requirements, while still delivering a neat garage charging setup for everyday use.
